Religion was a part of my life for a long time - comparatively to my lifespan. In fact, I thought it always would be. Then things changed, and I’m mighty pleased with my set of beliefs.
I never sit down to write a song about a particular topic – if I feel like I have enough to say about a subject, I’ll start playing around.
My problem is, now I have some songs written about my views on things, and don’t want to step on toes that brought me up differently and who bestowed those ideas with only the best of intentions.
I’ve been considering adding a podcast element to the site, particularly around recording time. I was hoping to include a description of the lyrics and their inspiration. The problem is, how does one explore their feelings with a song and then discuss those feelings without alienating listeners who have opposing views?
